USAC/WEB: Brainstorm Design Lends Creative Muscle to USAC

12-17-1999

Indianapolis, Indiana–
The United States Auto Club and Brainstorm Design, both of Indianapolis, joined together for mutual firsts in 1999 and now have big plans for the future.

USAC turned to Brainstorm earlier this year after hopes of finally
launching a web site were being frustrated by several delays.
Brainstorm, which despite a diverse range of clients had never designed a
sports site, worked with USAC and helped launch USAC Online in May.

The site has quickly exceeded initial expectations in both the number of visitors to the site and other key indicators such as the average session length which is already one of the industry’s best according to Brainstorm.  The early success has caused the two companies to strengthen their relationship further. Brainstorm Design is now the "official provider and developer of USAC Online" as the result of a recent multi-year agreement.

"Brainstorm Design is very pleased to be a sponsor of the United States Auto Club. We view it as a valuable partnership," said Brainstorm Design’s Jim Wolfe. "Motorsports is the fastest growing entertainment in America and we are glad to be able to help bring the excitement of the sport to the enthusiast at home. We look forward to the future and how USAC will be making racing information available in multiple media."

Initial plans for 2000 call for USAC to launch a promotional campaign around the site, offer advertising packages and add e-commerce capabilities.

"We are extremely pleased with the concept Brainstorm brought to
us for the site," said Rob Clendening of USAC. "While the initial success
has surprised all of us a bit, maybe it shouldn’t. There has been growing
attention paid to our brand of racing recently and fans around the world
are going on-line to learn more. The strengthened partnership with
Brainstorm gives us the opportunity to start slowly growing the site into
the major motorsports site it can be."

Brainstorm Design is located at 9820 Westpoint Drive, Suite 400,
Indianapolis, IN, and can be reached via the web at
