Kenny Brack and Bob Blass Former Indy 500 Winner Kenny Brack Autographs Guitar

[Indianapolis, IN] – Sponsored by Anthem, Inc., one of the nation's largest health benefits providers, Brainstorm, an Indianapolis-based branding and design firm, is designing a 10-foot-tall fiberglass replica of a Fender® Stratocaster® guitar. The artwork was developed on behalf of Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Ohio and will be on display in Cleveland for six months in conjunction with GuitarMania® II, Encore in 2004. This public art project benefits United Way Services of Greater Cleveland and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum’s education fund.

"It is a real honor to be selected as part of the display at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame," said Brack. "As an avid guitarist, I have visited the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame before and I'm very excited about having a guitar I have signed in the Hall. I want to thank Brainstorm and Anthem for their participation in the project."

GuitarMania kicks-off live in a public display on Key Plaza at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum at 10:30 am on Friday, May 28, 2004 in Cleveland, Ohio. The guitars are scheduled to be on display throughout the City of Cleveland from May through November of this year. After the exhibit, guitars will be auctioned off on November 6th to raise money for the United Way Services of Greater Cleveland and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum’s education fund.

Brainstorm’s design, entitled “Blue Rocks” is an engaging abstract interpretation of a seminal musical genre with a subtle nod to the official corporate color of Anthem, their sponsor. “Through corporate sponsorships like Anthem’s, and a public auction held after the exhibit, the event raised over $1 million in 2002 and we’re just glad to be a part of this worthy cause,” said Brainstorm founder Bob Blass.

In the past, artists have included celebrities like Peter Max, Joe Walsh, and Keith Richards, and on Wednesday, April 28th, Kenny Brack, the 1999 winner of the Indianapolis 500, added his “touch” to the final Brainstorm product, then autographed his work.
